In December 2004 Jon and Deon decided the band was not finished and reunited to write and record another album.

The project was titled ‘Detox’ and contained certain hits ‘High And Dry’ and ‘EZ Come, EZ Go’. Shortly after the completion of the album though, the band and record company decided that it would be impossible to promote the new album due to the fact that Deon lived in Cape Town and Jon in Johannesburg, so ‘Detox’ was shelved and has remained unreleased … until now.

Toxic Shame was born when the paths of Jon Buckley and Deon du Toit crossed in 1995. Both being extremely talented musicians, they found that they had plenty in common and decided to get together one evening per week to write and record songs purely for their own enjoyment.
